Taranaki Regional Council - working with people, caring for our environment.
The Council manages Taranaki's resources to ensure that any activities and developments in our region are appropriate and sustainable. They must be in balance with the environment and the community both now and in the future.
We look after Taranaki's land, coast, fresh water and air through resource consents, environmental monitoring, education and other initiatives. The Council also has responsibility for emergency management and transport planning.
